Meet Paca, the van-loving dog
Hi! My name is Paca and I am the pet of a family that has a camper van rental company in Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain: Caracolvan. Since I was a puppy, I have traveled in a van. I have my own space reserved behind the seat of my owners, Nacho and Ainhoa. During the trip, I love to look out the window or nap, and when we stop, they always take me with them to the beach or the mountains. In this article, I am going to tell you everything you need to know about how to travel with a dog in a camper van.
Mealtime in the van
When it's time to eat, my owners' seats turn around and transform into a dining area. They cook the food they have in the fridge, and some crumbs always fall at my feet. The table they use for eating also serves for playing cards or for the youngest member of the family to read or paint. She has joined our trips for a few years now, making our adventures even more fun.
Vacations with a dog: Motorhome or Camper Van
I love traveling in the van because I bring my bed from home, my dog food, and my water bowl. Also, it is always warm in the van, and best of all, I am always with my owners, never taking my eyes off them, even when they sleep. We spend all day together, and that's what I like the most.
Ainhoa takes me for a walk in the mornings, very early, and I love exploring and meeting the new neighbors of the day. Sometimes we sleep at a campsite and I have to wear a leash, but usually we are in the middle of nature and I can run freely.
Pet Friendly Camper Van
What I like the most is when we are at the beach and take advantage of the first hour to swim in the sea, when there's still no one around. I'm a water dog, and I love to swim! Traveling with a dog in camper vans allows me to enjoy these unique moments.
During the day, we always go for long walks and have a great time, whether on the coast or in the mountains. We also visit towns and cities, where I attract a lot of attention with my fur and everyone pets me. They call me 'rastadog'!
The whole family in the camper van
As evening falls, we look for a nice and quiet place to sleep. I know that dinner time is approaching... After dinner, I stay outside in the cool air, I like to crawl under the van and watch who passes by. Right before bedtime, Nacho takes me for a little walk to see the neighbors' vans. Sometimes, we have dog neighbors who want to come sniff around, but I don't really like them getting too close to my van. It's my second home, and I protect it as such!
When we go to sleep, I like to move to the front of the van, where it's cooler, and have a good sip of water before going to bed. I fall asleep and, according to my master, I bark in dreams. I fall asleep and, according to my master, I bark in dreams. I don't remember, but I know that I wake up thinking about the next swim at any beach or stream. I absolutely love traveling in a camper van!
