The best Spanish windsurfers will meet in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz, Spain, on the 11th, 12th and 13th of October, to celebrate the Spanish Windsurfing Championship. This event began to be held in 2000 and counts towards the world ranking.
The Bay of Cadiz will be the setting for the 2014 edition. The event will be based at the Playa del Buzo facilities of the Vista Hermosa Golf Club.
The race was officially presented on Monday in La Cristalera. It was attended by the mayor of El Puerto de Santa María, Alfonso Candón. Also the representatives of the Ibericar Group (sponsor of the event). And also Fernando Martínez del Cerro, windsurfer from El Puerto de Santa María and main favourite to win the title.
Photo exhibition of the Spanish Windsurfing Championship
On the occasion of the presentation of the Spanish Windsurfing Championship competition, a photographic exhibition was also inaugurated. An exhibition on water sports, surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. It featured works by three photographers Lucas Tozzi, Zai Aragon and Ludovic Franco. It can be visited throughout the week and the whole weekend while the event lasts.
